Wonderful West Street

Tucked to the right of the High Street and leading down to Bridge Street, it’s home to a lovely mix of shops, cafes, wine bars and galleries where creativity, style and music take centre stage. We love this beautiful print of West Street from Emily Kewin, who is an illustrator, children’s book author, and the artist behind Kewin’s Corner. Emily specialises in localised prints, with her Berwick-upon-Tweed series among the most popular.

The Orchard on West Street is our welcoming home in the heart of Berwick, where the spirit of Northumberland’s orchards comes to life. Here we showcase the craft of Northumbrian Cider & Wine Company Ltd, producing award-winning cider, British wine, freshly pressed apple juice and small-batch seasonal creations.
Every bottle begins with carefully selected fruit, pressed, fermented and bottled with care. We champion traditional methods, hot-fill pasteurisation for juice, and bold flavour combinations for our ciders and wines. Visitors can browse, taste and discover the stories behind our orchards, celebrating local heritage, quality ingredients and true Northumbrian character.

Puddles
A friendly gift shop with a focus on beautifully made artisan goods and quality, eco-conscious contemporary brands. Everything is thoughtfully handpicked by owner Abbi, who enjoys balancing timeless design with a touch of playful humour.
Founded on a daydream of running an umbrella shop, you’ll reliably find Original Duckhead compact brollies alongside snug and stylish accessories year round, including one-of-a-kind handcrafted jewellery, bespoke candles, art prints, homewares, baby gifts, delicious chocolate and a fab selection of cards.
Run by a small team of kind, helpful staff — and top dog Shakira, who you may spot in the window or sunbathing outside — Puddles proudly supports local artists and offers well-made things designed to make everyday life feel sensational, even when it’s raining.

A RETROspective, sustainable, feel-good lifestyle shop bringing together an eclectic mix of 20th-century interiors, homewares, collectibles, fashion, artwork and vinyl, curated by Rhona & Kerry – passionate collectors, fashion lovers and music fanatics.
We stock mostly vintage, alongside a carefully chosen range of complementary homewares, gifts, jewellery, cards and wrapping from independent makers, including Neon!
Our record shop offers a diverse selection of vinyl, plus CDs, music books and ephemera. After years in shared spaces, we were delighted to open our own shop on Wonderful West Street in June 2025.

Pyewacket
Pyewacket is an autistic owned indie shop filled with witchy wares, tarot decks, books, crystals and home decor as well as quirky gifts, some by small makers. Pyewacket is named after the witch’s feline familiar to honour owner Carrie’s love of cats.
The shop was born out of a desire to connect back to spiritual practice as well as creating a fun, safe space for fellow neurodivergent people to come and explore. The best part about the shop is meeting like-minded folk, swapping stories and sharing in the joy of finding something unexpected.

Whin is an independent homeware and gift shop based at 21 West Street. Since opening in April 2023, Tracey has been curating a colourful and creative collection to bring joy to your home.
The shop brings together a handpicked selection of vintage homeware alongside pieces from independent UK businesses, artists and makers. You’ll find handcrafted, sustainable, recycled and eco-friendly homeware and gifts, thoughtfully chosen with quality and character in mind.
In store, you can browse art prints, paper decorations, glassware, pottery, candles, seasonal houseplants and much more.

3 Bridges Antiques
3 Bridges Antiques is the latest indie shop to join Wonderful West Street.
We opened in December 2025 with traders Phil Rutherford & Jonathan Holdsworth, plus prints by Emma Holdsworth’s Mam, Jenny Tyas.
Do come in and visit as there is something for everyone inside with traditional antiques, bright prints, and beautiful Scandi glass. A veritable treasure trove awaits!
