George Brady - French Horn
11.30 - 12.30
George Brady is a young French horn player who is really going places. He was a pupil of St Mary’s Music School in Edinburgh and the Royal Academy of Music in London changed their age policy to have him as a seventeen year old scholar. He is in the televised finals of the BBC Young Musician competition, which will be recorded over the summer. He is already an experienced performer, recently stepping in at the last minute to play Mozart’s Fourth Horn Concerto. He will be accompanied by Kit Hobkirk, Director of Music at Berwick Parish Church, also a former pupil of St Mary’s Music School. To include Schumann’s iconic Adagio and Allegro Op 70. Retiring donations.
Tea/Coffee and something to eat from 10.45 in the Parish Centre.

The Liam Muckle Memorial Shield

A special community day bringing people together for football, family fun and remembrance at Berwick Rugby Club. Alongside a full day of football, there’ll be food vans, the Rugby Club bar, bouncy castles, inflatable football and darts, face painting, tombola, a fire engine and a Community Row featuring local charities and organisations. Younger visitors can also look out for appearances from Rumi, Buzz, Woody and Bluey throughout the day. At the heart of the event is remembrance – bringing the community together and creating something positive in memory of those we have lost.
